Normal service resumes in the rehearsal room

Category: Announcements. Posted by Tagora on 19 December 2007

We may have lost some space in our rehearsal area (the room in the Palais de l’Europe that formerly housed the Vedovato collection), but we have gained in other ways.

After several weeks of renovation, the rehearsal room is once again open for business.

A part of it has been partitioned off to create a reading room for those wishing to consult the Council of Europe’s archives. But although we’ve lost space, the room is now far more pleasant. The carpet has been replaced, and lighting repaired and strengthened. Thanks to the Council’s electricians we now have wiring and electrical sockets more than adequate for our needs. In addition, there is a good number of cupboards for the storage of props, costume and other items currently in use, our small electrical equipment, cables, etc., and in due course our collection of scripts and other theatrical books.

Members and friends will have a chance to see the result on 24 January, when we shall be holding a get-together to launch our 2008 activities.
